Check out the latest new trailer about the new Studio Ghibli collab. The silent film Red Turtle.  It looks pretty interesting.  Studio Ghibli must really believe in this new director, the french director Michaël Dudok de Wit, to do a collaboration with him. I am not sure what Studio Ghibli’s influence was.  Maybe since Miyazaki retired they are experimenting with working with other directors and animators. I don’t know. The film looks interesting. It appears to be about a man stranded on a tropical island in the same vein as the movie Cast Away.  He appears to get rescued by a Red Turtle and that turtle seems to have something to do with him ending up on the island. He meets a woman and they have a kid and it looks like he gets into having a family.  I wonder if the woman is real. I mean, how you do you stumble on a woman on a tropical island? Maybe he went crazy and it’s all in his mind.  Guess we will have to see the film to find out.
